Decolonization & Sustainability: From Co-Sustaining to Exploitation and Back Again

October 1, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Decolonialization Banner-01
Join us this special Saturday for a day with Randy and Edith Woodley, First Nations partners and co-sustainers at Eloheh Farm in Newburg, Oregon. During the morning session, the pair will share their own experiences and take us on a journey back to our collective roots to discuss how our species turned from sustaining the Earth to exploitation, and the discussion will address the factors of colonialism and its effects on the earth and cultures. The afternoon session will take us back from exploitation and colonialism to explore how we can collectively heal from the destructive cognitive frames instilled globally through colonialism and return to a culture of co-sustainability.

The discussion is donation-based to make it both accessible to all regardless of ability to pay, while also meeting costs and so that we can offer similar enriching and culture-shifting programming here at Aprovecho. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!

SEATING IS LIMITED. Please register HERE to reserve your space. Late attendees, even if registered, may have improvised seating. If that link does not work, please register at Aprovecho.net/Registration. Thank you!

Tea and water will be served, but lunch is not provided. Please bring your bag own. Thank you!
