HERBAL MEDICINE: TINCTURE MAKING
January 22, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm$25 – $50
Emily Sessoms has been studying eastern and western herbalism since her time at Aprovecho in 2014. Calling upon plants’ healing powers has been used throughout human history across cultures, and in this class we will be learning how to make tinctures out of both alcohol and glycerine. Tinctures can help with anything from digestive issues, memory retention, and anxiety, to immunity and asthma. When you RSVP, please state if your preference is alcohol or glycerine so we know how much to have for the class, and feel free to bring your own herbs you’d like to use. There will be a selection of herbs from Aprovecho and others purchased locally for use.
Workshop cost with online registration in advance is $25-$50 sliding scale; cost at the door is $30-$55. Please register at aprovecho.net/registration.
Scholarships are available once we meet our quota. Children under 12 are always free!
Herbal tea will be provided. Please wear warm clothing and bring any tools or materials of your own you would like to use!
