Former students, instructors, work traders, and interns, we would like to invite you for a weekend of reconnecting, making new contacts, discovering new projects, and an opportunity to share experiences from your post-Aprovecho life.
Saturday 22nd July
11 AM: Reunion Kickoff and Welcome!
12.30 PM: Lunch (homemade barrel oven pizza: meat, gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options by Chef Justin Watt and Team)
1.30 – 3.30 PM: Campus Tours (starting at 1.30 and 2.30)
- Abel Kloster, Aprovecho Land Steward, gives a tour of Permaculture groundworks.
- Chris Foraker (1.30), NB Dept. Director, and Connor Anderson (2.30), NB alum, gives a Natural Building focused campus tour.
2.30 – 6 PM: Get Your Hands Dirty! Stop by and participate in a Natural Building project around campus and get reacquainted with natural building techniques. Side by side two Apro NB Alum will explain, teach and demonstrate how to build with cob and plaster with earth.

4 – 7 PM: Talks by Past & Present Aprovechians. Share your current projects or just come and listen! Keynote speakers from early Aprovecho talking about “Apro Origins” and the “Evolution of Aprovecho through Time.” Hear from staff, interns, past students, other alumni and local affiliates. Hear them talk about local projects big and small, a book they’ve written, an organization they’ve started and so much more..
6 PM: Bar opens: Locally-brewed beer and cider and non-alcoholic options. Donations from Wildcraft Cider Works, Falling Sky Brewing Company, Two Town Ciderhouse and Planktown Brewing Co.
LIVE MUSIC! Listen to some Old-Timey tunes and shake your booty to the funky melodies of Takatu Boostep!
7 PM: Dinner (lamb stew, ground nut stew, with delicious rice & Italian bread by Chef Justin Watt and Team)
8 PM: Live performance continues by Takatu Boostep!
Followed by bonfire (bring and instrument), Games, Garden Party and shake it late late with DJ OCTA
Sunday 23rd July
10-11 AM: Brunch (granola, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit salad, Cheddar & Bacon biscuits; all food will have dairy free, gluten free, vegan options and is sourced from organic, local farms.)
NOON: Closing Ceremony
Please register in advance! Without pre-registration we cannot garuntee there will be enough food and drink!
*If you plan on arriving on Friday the 21st, know this will be the last day of the Shelter Series and they will be having their own goodbye party. Most of them will be joining us for the weekend. You’re welcome to arrive on Friday and camp out, unfortunately the strawbale (kitchen) and meetinghall are off limits until the event kicks off on Saturday.
