We can accommodate groups of up to 50 youth in a half-day, full day, and multi-day overnight sessions. We have curriculum based on investigating real world problems and look for real world solutions to resource conservation and sustainability. Read more about our KIDS curriculum.
Activities are designed to be place-based, interdisciplinary and hands-on. This allows for children to be engaged in a hands on learning experience that is above and beyond a typical field trip. Our goal is for each youth to have fun while learning how they can participate in building a sustainable future for our community and the world.
Group Size and Organization
The kids are usually divided into groups of 5 -12, each of which will cycle through the activities and lessons in our forest, appropriate technology lab, building projects, aquaculture greenhouse, garden, and classrooms. They will spend 40-50 minutes in each activity. All activities will be led by members of our experienced teaching staff. The youth must be accompanied by teacher or parent chaperones.
Cost and Scheduling
K-12 Field trips are available for scheduling 12 months of the year.
Field trips can be planned in 1/2 day, Full Day, and Multi-Day sessions. Rates depend on length of stay, class size, number of meals, and accommodations.
