All Aprovecho’s courses take place on a beautiful 40 acre campus in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range. After 35 years of stewardship and student activity the Aprovecho campus stands out as an inspiring demonstration of land-based sustainability. The natural homes, food forests, waterworks, gardens, and sustainable production forest are the result of the living classroom that is the Aprovecho campus.
Tuition fees provide for attendance in the program from 9am – 5pm, Monday-Friday. Room and board is not included. If the student chooses to stay on campus there are multiple housing options, including a shared room in the dormitory, a camping platform in a personal tent, and when available a private pod, tiny home (200 sqft.) or 600 sqft. cabin. See our Housing and Food page for more details and pricing on these lodging options. All students, no matter their residence, have access to plentiful indoor space including a large common room, showers, kitchen and library as well as hiking trails and relaxation space. All students and residence are also part of the meal plan which provides three meals a day during weekdays while educational programs are running (most of the time.) Weekends and off-time, residents have access to Aprovecho’s consistently stocked pantry to prepare their own meals. Students can choose to stay off campus.
