Permaculture Practicum In Food, Forests, and Water

Join us for 6 weeks of applied hands on education as we as we work both on site and in the local community towards the maintenance and establishment of systems close to our heart during an Oregon Fall: Food, Forests and Water. Students will leave this course capable of designing, installing, and maintaining regenerative and productive water and forest systems. This course is designed for farmers, land owners, contractors, and students seeking to deepen their on-the-ground Permaculture skill-set.
Projects will include construction of ponds and other earthworks, land survey and map making, indoor and outdoor aquaculture, food forestry, eco-forestry, greywater system construction, woodland and stream restoration, and rainwater harvesting.
The course runs five days per week for six weeks. Each week of this course stands alone as a focused theme. Students may sign up for this course by the week or take the complete series at a discount.
Cost: $1,800 – $3,000 for the entire series. $400 – $600 per week. Tuition for this course is on a sliding scale. The sliding scale is offered for attendees to pay within their means. Tuition includes a room in our strawbale dormitory on a first come first served basis, 100% organic and locally sourced meals, and all course materials. This course is offered at a reduced tuition of $1,600 for prior Aprovecho PDC graduates.
